Plant morphology Annual herb. Stems erect, much branched, fall often become reddish purple, white with white pilose when young, later become smooth. Leaves alternate, dense; few sessile, leaf blade oblong or oblong-lanceolate, apex acuminate, base cuneate, entire, glabrous or pubescent; young leaves margin villous white, later Gradually shedding.
